This is a list of the current, just completed, and future projects in Forrest County.

BR-0018(25)B Hurricane Creek Road - replacing the bridge over Red Creek The final inspection has been done, the final estimate has been paid, and the project is complete. [9-6-2000]

Includes straightening the roadway, replacing several curves with one and replacing the two aging bridges. The Project is complete as of 7-5-2000. The striping, guardrail, and grassing have been completed. The new bridge is open to traffic and the old bridges have been demolished. [7-5-2000]
STP-1295(3)B Ralston Road Submitted for PS&E Oct. 3, 2000. Waiting for change in project no. [2-23-2001]
BR-0222(3)B Macedonia Road - replacing the bridge over Gillis Creek The PS&E Assembly has been approved by the State Aid office in Jackson and the project is just waiting for funding. The right-of-way and utility agreements have been obtained. [2-23-2001]
BR-8759(1)BO Broad Street - replacing the bridge over Gordons Creek Had the PS&E review March 13, 2001. [3-14-2001]
BR-8778(1)BO McLeod Street - replacing the bridge over Gordons Creek Had the PS&E review March 13, 2001. [3-14-2001]
LSBP-18(2) Lakeview Road - replacing the bridge over Mixons Creek
Forrest Street - replacing the bridge over Gordons Creek
The final inspection has been done, the final estimate has been paid, and the project is complete. [9-6-2000]

LSBP-18(5) South 28th Extension - replacing the bridge at Pinehills Drive The plans have been approved by State Aid and we are waiting for the utility agreements and Right-of-Way to be completed [2-23-2001]
LSBP-18(6) Replace Pipes on Springfield Road PS&E plans are complete and at the State Aid office in Jackson. [7-5-2000]
LSBP-18(7) Sportsman Lake Rd - replacing bridge over Long Branch
Old Highway 49 - replacing bridge over Beaverdam Creek
Survey is complete and the plans are being worked on now. [9-6-2000]
LSBP-18(8) Drainage Structures - a long list of pipe culvert replacements The PS&E inspection was done Dec. 14, 2000 and the plans are now being worked on. [2-23-2001]
SAP-18(3)M East Hardy Bridge - cleaning and repainting of the overhead metal truss on East Hardy Street crossing the Leaf River. The final estimate has been paid, and the project is complete. [9-6-2000]
SAP-18(4)M 2000 Overlay - the repaving of eleven roads on the State Aid system in Forrest County that total ±30 miles. The project was started in November 2000, the repaving of the roads in the south half of the county is complete, and the repaving of the roads in district 3 is almost complete. [3-14-2001]
SAP-18(5)M 2001 Restriping Project - the restriping of several State Aid roads in Forrest County The Office Review plans were returned from State Aid on March 13, 2001 and the final plans and specifications are currently being completed for submittal. [3-14-2001]
SAP-18(14)S 2001 Reseal - the resealing of several State Aid roads in Forrest County that total ±15 miles Plans are complete and approved and bids are to be taken on April 5, 2001. [2-23-2001]
STP-0223(6)B thumb_STP2236B_4.jpg - 5kb Old River Road - replacing the bridge over Jakes Creek with a concrete box bridge. Also includes the realignment of the curve in this area in order to make this curve safer for all motorists. The project started on April 24, 2000 the Contractor cleared the right of way and built the box bridge and the approach roadway. The project is now complete except some spots of grass need to be redone when the weather gets warmer. [2-23-2001]
STP-0223(7)B Old River Road - the repaving of ±4.5 miles of the State Aid road from Bunton Road to the Forrest County line. The PS&E inspection was done Dec. 14, 2000 and now the plans are in the works [2-23-2001].
BR-9335(1)BO Chapell Hill Road The program has been approved and sent to State Aid. [2-23-2001]
